Catawba County man arrested for 10.4 grams of Meth. Multiple charges.

Catawba County, NC –

On Saturday, August 10th at approximately 8:20 pm., Deputies with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Group were patrolling the area of Bethany Church Road in Claremont. Deputies observed a vehicle being driven without an NC registration plate and stopped the vehicle for the violation. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Brandon O’Keefe of Conover. During the investigation, O’Keefe stated he had a meth pipe and an amount of Methamphetamine on his person.

Deputies located a meth smoking pipe and four bags containing 10.4 grams of Methamphetamine on O’Keefe. Digital scales, as well as two firearms, were located in the vehicle. Brandon O’Keefe was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and No Operator’s License. His bond was set at $5,000 secured and is in the custody of the Catawba County Detention Facility. The passenger, James Douglas Maresca of Burnwood Trail, Denver was cited for Failing to Register Vehicle.
