During the investigation Detective J. Talbot learned that the boyfriend of Hensley’s niece had sold the vehicle to Auto Parts U-Pull and Scrap Metal of Lincolnton on January 21, 2020.  When the detective originally spoke with Kenneth Earl Fink, 52, of Amy Drive, Lincolnton, he denied selling the vehicle for scrap metal but later admitted to selling the vehicle.  The victim was unable to recover the vehicle because of the amount of damage.

Fink was charged with felony obtaining property by false pretense.  He was fingerprinted and released from the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
