Sheriff’s Detectives Asking for Public’s Help in Identifying Suspect in Vehicle Break-in

Lincoln County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects who broke into a vehicle on January 12, 2020.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 2600 block of Teague Street, Lincolnton, NC in connection with a break-in to an unsecured vehicle. The resident told officers a neighbor had found her identification, credit and debit cards on the side of the road and was returning them.

She then checked her vehicle and discovered that a mini-backpack she uses as a purse had been taken from the vehicle. The purse contained $100 in U.S. currency and headphones. The cards that had been in the purse had been discarded.

A neighbor contacted the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office to say that their Ring Security camera captured footage of two suspects trying to make entry into their vehicles in the driveway but were unsuccessful. One of the suspects was wearing a blue hoodie while the other suspect had on a dark colored hoodie.
