Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators assisted North Carolina Probation and Parole with the arrest of a Dallas, NC woman on January 9, 2020, as she arrived at a residence on Rhodes Rhyne Road, Lincolnton, NC.
When investigators and probation officers arrived at the residence they encountered multiple subjects but not Krista Brooke Roderick, the person they were looking for. Investigators were told that Roderick was on her way to the residence to meet them.
Some probation officers and narcotics investigators remained hidden on the scene and awaited the arrival of Roderick. A short time later she pulled into the driveway and investigators removed her from the vehicle. In doing so the officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view in the vehicle.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office narcotics K-9, Anya, was utilized to conduct an open air sniff around the outside of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed 12 grams of Methamphetamine, heroin, various pills, marijuana, glass pipes, syringes, and several sets of digital scales.
Krista Brooke Roderick, 27, of Dallas, NC was taken into custody and charged with probation violations, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, felony possession of heroin, possession of Schedule III, possession of Schedule IV, possession of Schedule VI, maintaining a vehicle for narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She is currently being held in the Cleveland County, NC Detention Center on probation violation charges.
